It was a big, huge, gigantic, epic weekend for Graphation, but Graphation is about to  instantly get even bigger, while simultaneously getting smaller. Graphation returns home to The Hive, the Downtown LA art gallery that brought you our opening night events.

That is the smaller. The bigger is presenting our first feature film, Shane Acker’s 9.

Sure we’ve shown features before, but never before had we had the filmmakers in attendance. This Thursday join director Shane Acker and art director Christope Vacher for their uncanny insights into the feature filmmaking process.

Featuring the voices of Elijah Wood, John C. Reilly, Jennifer Connelly, Crispin Glover, Martin Landau, and Christopher Plummer, 9 is the story of a rag doll that awakens in a post-apocalyptic future to discover that he holds the key to humanity’s salvation.

In many ways 9 is the Graphation dream fulfilled, while it is not a comic book, it was first a Academy Award nominated short film. Learn the process with us at Graphation.
